Monteferro enters service in South Atlantic.
RBC trawler Monteferro enters service.
Built at the Nordosa shipyard in Galicia, Red Back Consultants Ltd,(RBC) in partnership with JV partners Kalamar were pleased to announce the launch into service of thier purpose built trawler, Monteferro. The vessel is a 63.5m stern trawler and had a gt of less than 1499tonnes. The vessel will have 44 crew members, that will share mainly 2 berth cabins.
Monteferro will mainly fish for squid, but is equipped to fish for other species as determined by the seasons.
