Falklands based Fortuna Seafoods are attending the largest seafood expo in the world In Brussels this week. They are there to specifically market their local trout offering some of which is being cooked and smoked on site, which is going down a storm at the show, and it is hoped that business will be swift. Getting to the stage where they can export in commercial quantities has been a long time coming, and Fortuna are rightly proud of their achievements given the obstacles they have had to overcome. Aquaculture is set to play a major part of the fishing industry in the Falklands and Fortuna want to be right at the centre of it. A spokes person for Fortuna currently at the show says that the Expo is proving to be an extremely worthwhile and successful trip and is already looking forward to 2020!
