Falklands Representation at Conxemar 2025

Falklands products and services showcased at international seafood event

FIFCA representatives were proud to attend Conxemar 2025 on behalf of the Falkland Islands fishing industry. 

The three-day exhibition, held in Vigo, Spain, is a significant event on the global seafood calendar. Spanish Joint Venture partners of Falklands companies were well represented with an impressive array of products on display from the Islands.  These joint venture relationships between Spain and the Falkland Islands go back many decades and it was rewarding to see how our partners value and promote the produce that is caught in Falklands waters. 

A team of three from the Falklands shipping company SAAS were also in attendance, manning their stand with their counterparts from Uruguay and the UK.

Outside of the main exhibition itself, the FIFCA team were kindly hosted by Copemar (one of Beauchene Fishing Company Ltd's joint venture partners), including a tour of their offices in Vigo and a visit to a cold store where products from the vessel Hadassa Bay were being processed and boxed, ready for sending out to customers.  The day was rounded off with a dinner graciously hosted by the Copemar/Beauchene team.
