The Falkland Islands Museum & National Trust and the Falkland Islands Government are pleased to announce that Beauchene Fishing Co. Ltd are donating a significant sum of money for the Cape Pembroke Lighthouse restoration project – this figure will be matched by the Falkland Islands Government.
A local contractor is in the process of compiling costs for the project and it is envisioned that work will begin on this iconic structure by next Summer.
The Cape Pembroke Lighthouse is an FIG owned asset but the Falkland Islands Museum & National Trust hope to take over responsibility of this building, and other government owned heritage assets in the near future.
